Implications Counselling

Intended Parent(s) using egg donation, sperm donation, embryo donation, surrogacy

Based on advice from government & health officials about the importance of social distancing to reduce overburdening our healthcare system, I am holding appointments virtually until we are advised otherwise. Ensuring counselling supports are available as usual, along with protecting everyone's health and safety, are my top priorities. Please rest assured that my office hours will remain the same, and that virtual appointments via ZOOM (a free, secure video calling app) work very well.

Implications Counselling is provided to Intended Parent(s) in a non-judgmental, open-minded atmosphere and is not designed as an assessment.  Having been an Intended Mother herself, Dara understands first-hand how overwhelming the assisted fertility process can be, and works closely with clients to help them:

  • prepare emotionally, physically and logistically for their journey

  • provide solutions to potential and actual challenges

  • set the foundation for an appropriate and positive relationship with their donor and/or surrogate

  • explore if they are in need of any supports/additional information as they move forward

  • identify any concerns
