Primary Infertility & Loss Support Group

SPONSORED BY ANOVA FERTILITY AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH (FREE TO PARTICIPANTS)

This free, virtual group is professionally facilitated by one of Informed Fertility’s Reproductive Counsellors, and is open to anyone across Canada not currently pregnant and without children, who is experiencing primary infertility or pregnancy loss. People are encouraged to join on their own or with partners, if applicable. Together, participants create a safe and compassionate environment to talk about the experiences and emotions connected with primary infertility/reproductive loss.

2025 Primary Infertility Support Group Dates
When: 6:00-7:30pm on the 1st Wednesday of the month, with occasional exceptions. Please contact us for specific dates.
Where: ZOOM (a new password protected link is required for each video call.)

Secondary Infertility & Loss Support Group

SPONSORED BY MARKHAM FERTILITY CENTRE (FREE TO PARTICIPANTS)

This free, virtual group is professionally facilitated by one of Informed Fertility’s Reproductive Counsellors, and is open to anyone across Canada with a child(ren) at home, who is not currently pregnant and struggling to add to their family. People are encouraged to join on their own or with partners, if applicable. Together, participants create a safe and empathetic environment to talk about their experiences with secondary infertility/loss and the complexities of caring for their current child(ren) while struggling to grow their family.

When: 7:00pm-8:30pm on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, with occasional exceptions. Please contact us for specific dates.

Warriors Primary Infertility & Loss Support Group

SPONSORED BY TRIO FERTILITY (FREE TO PARTICIPANTS)

This free, virtual group is professionally facilitated by one of Informed Fertility’s Reproductive Counsellors, and is open to anyone across Canada who is not currently pregnant and without children, who has been struggling with infertility/reproductive loss for a long time and is now moving forward with or considering donation, surrogacy, adoption or life without children. People are encouraged to join on their own or with partners, if applicable. Together, participants create a welcoming and understanding environment to talk about their long journey with infertility, emotions to do with the loss of genetics and/or carrying link, next steps, compassion fatigue amongst family and friends, fears about moving on without children and more.

Single Parents-To-Be Support Group

Sponsored by Dr. Chaula Mehta’s TRIO Fertility Mississauga (Free to participants)

This free, virtual group is professionally facilitated by one of Informed Fertility’s Reproductive Counsellors and is open to anyone across Canada not currently pregnant and without children, who is exploring or actively trying to have a child on their own. Together, participants create a safe and compassionate environment to talk about the emotions and experiences involved in family building as a solo parent. Topics covered may include: donor selection (incl sperm, egg and embryo donation), treatment options, adoption, disclosure, dating, family of origin, parenting worries, grief, loss, and more.

2SLGBTQIA Support

Hosted by Birth Mark’s Seed & Sprout Program, this Fertility and Reproductive Support Group for 2SLGBTQIA Communities is free, and open to folks along their fertility journey, regardless of where they are on their path to conception. Support for People using Donor Eggs, Donor Sperm, Donor Embryos

Donor Conception Canada (DCC) organizes various support groups for people building their families through donor conception. Groups provide participants opportunities to discuss their experiences with donor eggs, sperm, or embryos, and topics include the social and emotional aspects, challenges and issues faced by participants. Groups are divided by topic and population and include, for example: people who intend to be parents through donor conception; people who already have children through donation; single parent and 2SLGBTQ+ specific groups, people who themselves are donor conceived; and friends and family who support them.
